About Us

Our son, Liam, was due to join our family on November 20, 2023, but made an unexpected arrival due to my developing Pre-Eclampsia and HELLP syndrome at 23 weeks. He was born at 24 weeks and 1 day, weighing one pound and 5.2 ounces and was only 11 inches long. Liam spent 113 very heavy days in the NICU where he battled meconium ileus, NEC, multiple infections, collapsed lung, necrosis, brain bleeds and many other things that are expected to come with life as a micropreemie. 

When Liam was discharged home, it took months to learn about resources that help our family both financially and play a supportive role in his care and development. As a middle-class, working family we were unaware that we would ever qualify for the assistance that has made a substantial impact on our lives. 

We don't want any other families to learn "the hard way", like we did. 

We want every family who enters the NICU to understand what resources are available to them while they are inpateint and beyond discharge. 

We don't want any family to feel alone while they're sitting at the bedside or not understand how to advocate while their baby is putting up the fight of their life.

We want to continue to collaborate with DMAS and other goverment to improve programs and make access more available to ALL who qualify.

Born on August 1, 2023 at just 24 weeks gestation. He weighed just over 1 pound and was 11 inches long. He is our miracle boy! 

After 113 days, we were finally able to bring Liam home!
